My mom and Treva came up to Dallas today to hang out. I was right on the edge of driving down to Waco early this morning, but I decided not to. You see, the 2nd TX Supercharger opened today down there, which is AWESOME. However, I couldn't reconcile driving 2-3 hours to Waco just to charge my car back up and come home. I'll just make an excuse to go to Austin soon!
The three of us rode over to Klyde Warren Park first. I wanted to take another swing at that LARK on the Park place, since it was closed up the other day. This time it worked out! Good place. Then we wandered around the park for a bit, where my mom wanted to play in the fountains. She stood over one before it came up so I could get a pic of her over the emerging water. Before I could even take the shot she ran off screaming at the top of her lungs. Luckily there weren't too many people around to stare.
I found out that neither of them had been to North Park Mall, at least not within the past decade or so, so we went there next! We floated around, saw the sights, bought candles and lotion, and stopped for coffee at La Duni. Get coffee at La Duni. It will change you.
Anyway we had a blast! It was a great way to spend a day off and still procrastinate from the freelance life.
