I'm a little bummed that this trip only happens once a year. This is way to much fun to do in moderation.
By some freak accident I woke up at 7:30 this morning and decided to take a kayak out on the lake. By the time I was ready to go, Emily was up too, so we went together. I took a total of three trips on the kayak today, plus another trip in a giant metal boat on which we took the BoomCase. I am fully mentally prepared for the physical pain I will experience tomorrow. Soreness will happen. A lot.
Clearly, Arri handled the water like a champ. She wore her puppy life jacket and rode around the lake with Emily, no problem. Arri is definitely having the most fun ever on this trip. She burned through her energy pretty quickly, but she has been surprisingly resilient.
Shawna and Zack arrived today, finally. It feels like they'd missed most of the party by the time they got here at 5pm, but so far we've still managed to squeeze in plenty of funtivities. They're noobs here too! Plus, Michael Garrett hadn't even gotten out of bed yet when they got here. Yeah, last night was hard on some of us.
Tonight David set up a projector outside, where we watched the LEGO movie (using the BoomCase for audio, of course) after dark. I got to bed around 3am. I got a pretty good number of hours out of this day for sure!
