On my way home from work yesterday, I talked to my mom on the phone--a new part of my daily routine to keep from sleeping and driving simultaneously. Part of that conversation included me wishing I had a laptop. I've been wanting one for awhile, since it'd be really helpful on set and whatnot, but this time she effectively convinced me to go for it! I drove to Aledo after work this afternoon to meet her.
Emily has been pretty opposed to the idea, so my mom and I thought it'd be fun to go together, do it secretly, and just not tell anybody about it! Foolproof, right? Yeah totally. So now I have a laptop, and all I have to do is get CC and Copy installed before we leave for Tennessee so I can get caught up on 365 during that 10 hour car ride. See how useful?! Me too!
And when Emily finds out I got a laptop next week, she'll be so happy to see me home again, she won't even care about the purchase! See?! It's so perfect!
When I got home, my TriggerTrap had arrived too! Basically it lets you hook your phone up to your DSLR and do all kinds of awesome remote trigger things. Everything from timelapse to HDR to sound and vibration triggers. Super cheap and super cool!
